3D Modelling - SPEED MODELLING EXERCISES

During my first few weeks of the 3D modelling course, I did a few 10-20 minute 3D modelling exercises inside of the software 3Ds Max. This was done so that I could get used to the features of the software and acquaint myself with the basic techniques used in 3D modelling. These mainly included Editable meshes (used to manipulate the 3D shapes), Booleans, Chamfers and Bending the shape.

One of the first models I created was a book, which uses basic chamfers and editable meshes to create depth and add shape to the book's cover. The star on the front uses the extrude modifier.

I personally like how this model turned out because the shape is interesting and it's not just two cuboids mashed together.

This 3D model of a slice of swiss cheese uses the boolean technique, where I grouped spheres together and added the "subtract" option so that they would create indents in the cheese slice, giving the impression of a swiss cheese. Personally, I like the effect this created.
This model is of an English breakfast, with the sausages being made from the "bend" modifier and the tomatoes, egg and mushrooms being spheres spliced in half. The teapot is a premade model.
